Several longtime, dedicated supporters together with new friends of ELI have generously offered to match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000. We are humbled and excited to have this support, and we hope you will want to join them in supporting ELI.
Throughout 2020, the EveryLibrary Institute has focused on helping financially-strapped library workers through our HALO Fund, and at EveryLibrary we continued to support ballot initiatives for public libraries and to aid school librarians in crisis.

Layoffs and library closings continue throughout the country, and the political climate for library funding continues to be fraught. That is why I hope you will consider supporting us with a year-end gift.
While I am mindful of all our community has lost during this very challenging year, I want to highlight and celebrate the gains we have made together in support of libraries - and especially the people who power them.
The HALO Fund - Help a Library Worker Out, which began in the Spring and was the focus of our #GivingTuesday drive, has raised and distributed over $85,000 to support library workers and librarians who are facing unexpected financial difficulties due to the Coronavirus economic slowdown. It is a new part of our work, and I am proud that we could connect our donors to so many folks in need.
"You have really come through in my time of need. There are no words. My daughters and I truly are grateful." - YP
In September, we hosted the Library Advocacy and Funding Virtual Conference, a political leadership and training event that drew more than 1,000 library leaders from around the world. Online events like this enable us to enjoy uninterrupted engagement with our community.
Through our Libraries 2020 Campaign, we continued to advocate for public libraries on the ballot and to show up for school librarians.
This year we partnered with several state school library associations on advocacy events like the Rally to Restore School Libraries and, I am proud to say, we reached an important milestone with our 115th Election Day for public libraries.
What donors like you provided for our colleagues – both in terms of professional and direct financial support – cannot be understated.
With gratitude,
John Chrastka,
Executive Director & The Entire EveryLibrary Team
